ABRAZOS PRESS: 10 years

Nave Annex Gallery, Somerville, MA — Summer 2017

This exhibition came about when another project for the Summer Slot at the Nave Annex could not be realized. Community Arts Activist and Nave Gallery leader Susan Berstler asked me whether I had an idea for an exhibition that could happen easily and without much time to prepare, and I did. My printmaking classes at ABRAZOS PRESS had many talented people many who had been taking classes with me for a few, and I thought an exhibition of their work along with examples of the 4 resident artists work would be a good way to celebrate 10 years of being a small but vibrant printmaking establishment in Somerville. It was an easy show to assemble in a short amount of time, and was well received. Graphic designer John Kramer created an amazing poster for the exhibition, and there was splendid chocolate cake from our local Lyndell’s Bakery in Ball Sq., Somerville.
